Hello there! My name is Megan and I'm the owner of MB Jewelry Design. MBJD is based out of my home studio in a town right outside of Annapolis, MD. I have been designing jewelry for quite some time now, since I was a kid really. I opened my business back in 2008 when I was 13 years old. It goes without saying that I wasn't the world's best artist back then and I certainly lacked the skills to construct solid pieces of jewelry, but I have always had keen eye for design. I am now 20 years old and a full time artist at the moment. For two years I was a part time student at Anne Arundel Community College studying photography, which is my other creative passion. I decided in 2015 to take some time off from school to grow my businesses and focus on art, but I plan on going back and getting my degree sometime in the future. In 2015 I showed at 3 separate craft festivals as well as hosting my annual open house in my home. 2015 was a very successful year for me as a business owner as well as as an artist. So that's just a little about me!

Since starting my own business I have grown as a designer and business owner, which has lead me to where I am now. With the start of 2016, I want to start a blog dedicated to helping both jewelry lovers and jewelry makers alike. Over the past 7 1/2 years of designing, constructing, selling my handmade jewelry as well as selling online and at art shows and craft fairs, and creating a brand, I have learned a lot that I want to share with you all. I have a lot of unique ideas for topics that I hope will peak your interest as well.
